Project Manager, UC Mentors
Carolyn Nordstrom guides the implementation of the institute’s new UC Mentors platform. This online system, using InstaViser software, provides a virtual meeting place to connect mentors with learners, making it easier for people to find the right help to build their network.
Nordstrom has deep experience in information technology and project management. For the three years prior to joining the institute staff, she worked at UC Davis as the chief of staff to the CIO in Information and Educational Technology. Prior to UC Davis, she had 20 years of experience implementing large-scale technology projects for the state of California, including as deputy director at the Office of Systems Integration and as chief of the Enterprise Project Management Office at the California Lottery.
Nordstrom holds a B.S. in applied behavioral science from UC Davis. She lives in Esparto with her husband, Kris. They have two adult daughters; Monica is a fourth-year vet student at UC Davis, and Nicole recently graduated from UCLA.
