The UC Davis GSM Career Development Teams are hosting one of our biggest networking events of the year - 2023 GSM Speed Networking. We have secured an entire floor at the Marine's Memorial Hotel to facilitate a dynamic evening by bringing together students and alumni from various programs and will feature insightful discussions, knowledge-sharing, and networking opportunities with industry partners from a diverse range of companies.

This event will offer two distinct tracks: one for those interested in analytics (MSBA and MBA), and another track for MBAs. Attendees will gain valuable insights into different career roles and discover which industries are actively seeking talent. We encourage you to come prepared to introduce yourself, engage in meaningful conversations, ask questions, and establish valuable connections.

Analytics Track (MSBA and MBA)

2-2:30 p.m. Check-In for Students, Alumni, and Panelists
2:30-3:15 p.m. Maximizing Event Prep Workshop
3:15-4 p.m. Spotlight on Analytics at Z by HP - Hear from key staff as they discuss what analytics looks like at Z by HP and what they seek in an ideal candidate. Z has been a tremendous partner for the school and will be bringing in staff (including VP level) to meet with you throughout the event.
4-4:30 p.m. Open networking and Speed Networking Industry Representative check-in - Refreshments will be available at this time.
4:30-4:45 p.m. Welcome and Introductions of Industry Partners - You should be fully checked in before this session, as it will provide important information for the evening and assist you in familiarizing yourself with all the representatives.
4:45-6 p.m. Analytics Speed Networking/Table Talks - Learn more about working in specific industries and fields from our partners.
6-6:30 p.m. Last Round of Open Networking - Refreshments Available


MBA (Minus Analytics) Track

2-2:30 p.m. Check-In for Students, Alumni, and Panelists
2:30-4 p.m. Product Management & Product Marketing Panel hosted by Professor Marc Lowe - Hear from a wide range of professionals, including Senior Product Managers, Directors and Senior Directors from Big Tech and CPG, as they share insights about this highly popular career path and their valuable advice for achieving success.
4-4:30 p.m. Open networking and Speed Networking Industry Representative check-in - Refreshments will be available at this time.
