Senior Assistant Dean for Student Affairs

The Senior Assistant Dean for Student Affairs is a critical management position responsible for all aspects of the student experience at the GSM from first point of contact through graduation, effectively and efficiently delivering a top-tier program with available resources. The Senior Assistant Dean conducts, and manages teams that conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses on all aspects of policies and programs in support of student experience in all GSM academic programs, with a focus on the MBA.

Senior Assistant Dean for Finance And Administration

The Senior Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration reports to the Dean and is a confidential management position responsible for providing broad leadership and management of financial planning and administrative services for the School. As a key advisor to the Dean, Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, and the Associate Dean for Instruction, the Assistant Dean serves as a leader in financial planning, financial reporting, analyses for program development, forecasting, policy setting on administrative matters, organizational development, risk management, and operations, including human resource management, project and instructional support, facilities, information technology and business office functions.

Senior Director Of Career Development

The Senior Director of Career Development oversees all aspects of student placement, career programming, and corporate engagement the Graduate School of Management (GSM). This key leadership role develops and implements career development strategies, builds robust partnerships with employers, and ensures student placement goals are met. The Senior Director creates a comprehensive program to connect the School with industry partners, generating internships, career opportunities, and other pathways for students, while preparing them for competitive MBA and master’s-level positions.

Assistant Director, Project & Instructional Resources

Under general direction of the Senior Director, Project & Instructional Resources, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing cross-functional initiatives/operations that promote the educational goals of the Graduate School of Management (GSM) and UC Davis at three locations as well as ensuring support for, and compliance at, a fourth location and in our online program offerings. Maintain a high degree of cross-unit coordination, communication, and leadership with other staff units and faculty in support of efficiently and effectively implementing the school’s goals and mission. Oversee a portfolio of school-based projects that promote the GSM to both campus and the general public by implementing and utilizing innovative technologies, engaging in technical writing and conducting industry research. Conduct project implementations, consultation, evaluation, research and analysis. Act on behalf in the absence of the Senior Director of Project & Instructional Resources.

Associate Director - Career Advisor and Industry Partnerships

Under general supervision of the Senior Director of Career Development, the associate Director – Career Advisor and Industry partnerships supports MBA students in their career development, primarily focusing on full-time students but also potentially assisting online, part-time students and alumni. Responsibilities include career counseling and advising, designing and delivering career development programming, and building partnerships with corporate contacts and alumni to identify hiring trends and develop career pipelines. The Associate Director works closely with the Senior Director and the Career Development team to achieve internship and placement targets.

Associate Director Of Admissions, San Ramon

ADMISSIONS RECRMT SPEC 3

The Associate Director of Admissions has management responsibility for the efficient and successful execution of a comprehensive MBA recruiting program for the express purpose of converting MBA prospects into applicants and admits into students. Responsible for overall recruitment strategy, relationship management and meeting enrollment targets for the UC Davis MBA program in the San Ramon Area.
