All admitted students receive full consideration for Graduate School of Management scholarships, fellowships, and assistantships. Incoming international students who need educational loan assistance you must have a U.S. co-signer.

Z by HP Aggie Scholarship (up to $40,000)

Z by HP Aggie Scholarship recipient(s) will receive $40,000 for their MSBA studies. Z by HP will provide $20,000, and the UC Davis GSM will support with a $20,000 Dean’s scholarship match.

The Z by HP Aggie Scholarship seeks to recognize students who: 

  • Are leaders and/or role models in their communities, or who have potential for leadership in the field of data analytics or business.
  • Have demonstrated commitment to diversity in the field of data analytics or business.
  • Understand social, cultural, economic and professional barriers faced by different segments of society and are seeking to make positive change.

MSBA Awards: Dean’s Scholarships and MSBA Fellowships and Graduate School of Management Grants (up to $20,000)

The Graduate School of Management offers limited awards based on merit. Factored into consideration are leadership experience, as well as academic and professional accomplishments. The Admissions Committee considers candidates for these awards at the time of admission.  No separate scholarship application is required. 

UC Native American Opportunity Plan

The University of California Native American Opportunity Plan ensures that in-state systemwide Tuition and Student Services Fees are fully covered for California students in state supported academic programs who are also enrolled in federally recognized Native American, American Indian and Alaska Native tribes. 

The MSBA program is not state supported. However, the Graduate School of Management has committed to provide an equivalent financial aid program. Eligible MSBA students will receive a scholarship of $13,500 in total to be allocated over the course of their program. Students must submit the eligibility affidavit and documentation on the UC Davis Financial Aid and Scholarships to confirm eligibility. For more information and eligibility requirements, please speak with your admissions counselor.

Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders (SIEML) Program Alumni Applicants

SIEML alumni, who have completed the program within the past 7 years, are eligible for this award if they are admitted into the Master of Science in Business Analytics program. Total 44 units fees* for the MSBA program will be covered by the Graduate School of Management for SIEML alumni. Credit will be implemented over the course of the program. There is no application process. SIEML graduates should identify yourself on their admissions application. The admissions committee will verify your eligibility. If admitted, scholarship details will be included on your admissions offer letter. Financial awards will not be added if a student has an existing scholarship package that exceeds the SIEML commitment.

UC and CSU Alumni Grant (up to $9,000)

The UC and CSU Alumni Fellowship is for applicants who have received their undergraduate from a University of California or California State University campus. The Admissions Committee considers candidates for these awards at the time of admission.  No separate scholarship application is required. 

Employer Match (up to $11,000)

We recognize the benefits but also challenges of working while being a student. This scholarship helps support candidates who plan to work while in the program and are partially or fully sponsored by their employer. The MSBA program will match employer sponsorship up to $11,000.

Military Service Award (up to $6,000)

The Graduate School of Management (GSM) supports members of the U.S. armed forces as they make a transition to the civilian workforce or return to service.

The program has committed to awarding up to $6,000 for tuition expenses not covered by the Post-9/11 GI Bill to up to two eligible MSBA students.

Working Professional Grant (up to $5,000)

Students who are currently working while studying bring an additional depth of perspectives to enhance the learning environment. This grant is designed for candidates who are working at the time of application and will continue with their current employer in a 50 percent capacity or greater during the program. This scholarship also is designed for working professionals who are not receiving employer support. Your office should be located within 100 miles of the UC Hastings campus.

Student Analyst Position (up to $9,750)

Graduate Student Analysts (GSA's) work closely with the executive and academic directors to create an engaging experience for students in the MSBA, today and over the years. In this role you will leverage data to work in initiatives related to student experience, program outreach, and market intelligence and analytics. Some GSA positions may be awarded at the time of admission, but all students will have an opportunity to apply for a position after matriculation.

Immediate Family Members of UC Davis Staff Scholarships for Incoming Admitted Students (up to $18,000)

Immediate Family Members of UC Davis Staff scholarships can be used for the Full-Time MBA, Bay Area Part-Time MBA, Sacramento Part-Time MBA or the Master of Science in Business Analytics programs.

Ideal candidates have accomplished professionals with high leadership potential. These awards are competitive and are awarded based on intellectual curiosity and strength, demonstrated leadership, professional effectiveness, and strong teamwork and communication skills.
