UC Davis Staff Immediate Family Scholarship Program
In recognition of the service given to the people of California, the Graduate School of Management is piloting the following scholarship program available to UC Davis immediate family members (spouse, legal domestic partner, biological or adopted child, stepchild).
The Graduate School of Management offers scholarships to immediate family members of a 75% FTE or higher career employee working at any of the following campuses: UC Davis’ main campus, the San Ramon campus, and the Sacramento campus (UC Davis Health and Aggie Square).
Scholarships can be used for the Full-Time MBA, Sacramento Part-Time MBA, Bay Area Part-Time MBA, Master of Professional Accountancy and Master of Science in Business Analytics programs.
These competitive awards are distributed based on a person’s intellectual curiosity and strength, demonstrated leadership, professional effectiveness, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Ideal candidates are accomplished professionals who have high leadership potential.
This scholarship program is open to new students ONLY, applying to start the program in 2024. Please note, UC Davis Staff Service Scholarship can be reduced by other funding received from the UC Davis Graduate School of Management.
Am I eligible?
You could be selected to receive a scholarship if you meet the following criteria:
- Admitted to one of the eligible UC Davis programs for the upcoming academic year.
- An immediate family member of a 75% FTE or higher career employee.
- Have strong academic, leadership and/or professional experiences.
- Ability to enrich the classroom experience.
How much are the scholarships?
- For MBA Programs, if selected, you will receive between $4,500-$18,000 per academic year (renewable for one year) – up to $36,000 total.
- For MSBA, if selected, awards range between $9,000-$18,000.
- For MPAc, if selected, scholarship awards range between $4,500 and $12,000. In addition, MPAc provides a robust teaching assistantship offering, with salary and tuition remission benefits.
How to do I apply?
To apply for the scholarship:
- Start your MBA application.
- Select your UC Davis affiliation in the MBA application.
- Then, under “Please use this field to upload any additional requested documents from the Admissions Committee, such as supplemental scholarship documents.”, please upload a PDF version of your scholarship essay and letter of endorsement (requirements for these documents can be found below).
- Submit your MBA application.
Required Documents
- For Immediate Family Scholarship: please provide a statement listing the nature of your relationship with the staff member, and UC Davis family member employee verification which can be obtained from UC Path.
