Each year, the UC Davis Graduate School of Management recognizes outstanding undergraduate business majors for their academic excellence, leadership, and contributions to the GSM community. Awards celebrate achievements such as high academic performance, demonstrated professionalism, community engagement and commitment to the values of the school. These prizes honor students who exemplify excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Prizes for Undergraduate Business Majors

Sonja Hongisto Impactful Service Prize

Amount Varies Annually

This prize will be awarded to undergraduate students majoring in business who are able to demonstrate their impact and commitment to community along with their involvement and civic responsibility. Student applicants will submit a letter detailing their involvement in community activities, how they may have overcome significant challenges, and how they plan to continue to make an impact in the world around them, including how they might use the prize funds to benefit their community.

Eligibility requirements:
  • Class standing: open to all undergraduate business majors
  • Enrollment status (full-time currently enrolled students)
