New Advising Alpha Split for the Business Advising Office

The Business Advising Office has a new alpha split, so you may have a different academic advisor than last year. Find your advisor by the first letter of your last name:

• Lizzie Loredo: A–G, plus EOP students
• Julie Burgal: H–R
• Jenny Nguyen: S–Z, plus international students 

Your assigned advisor is who you'll meet with for your annual advising appointment and ongoing academic planning. Drop-in advising with BAO Peer advisors remains open to all students regardless of assignment.

Annual Advising Requirement Now in Effect

All undergraduate business majors are now required to complete an annual advising requirement each year. The requirement has two parts: an appointment with your academic advisor and one recommended item tied to your year in school. Requirements and deadlines differ by class year, so review the Annual Advising Requirement page to see what applies to you. 

Students who don't complete the requirement by their deadline will have a registration hold placed on their record, which will block registration through Schedule Builder in a future quarter. Questions? Email gsm-undergradadvising@ucdavis.edu.

Welcome to Our New Advising Team Members

Please join us in welcoming Colin Goulding as the new Director of Undergraduate Advising and Policy in the Graduate School of Management. Colin oversees undergraduate advising and academic policy for the business major and minors.

We're also welcoming two new peer advisors, Renata Rosales-Verdugo and Brooke Barson, who join returning peer advisor Hazel Villapando. Peer advisors are current UC Davis students available on a drop-in basis to talk through degree requirements, course selection, academic plans, tools like Schedule Builder and OASIS, and business clubs and engagement opportunities. Stop by the front desk of Gallagher Hall during drop-in hours to meet them!
