Jenny Nguyen

Undergraduate Academic Advisor

She/Her/Hers

Jenny Nguyen has been working in student advising and academics since her time as an undergraduate student at Sacramento State University. While studying biology, she wanted to get more connected with the campus and became an orientation leader, where she worked to advise incoming first-year and transfer students.

After that, she realized she loved working in higher education and continued as a peer advisor and tour guide at Sacramento State University.

After graduation, Nguyen worked at the University of California, Santa Barbara, as an undergraduate advisor for the statistics department, then moved back to Sacramento to work in the human ecology department.

She then moved into research and graduate work as the program coordinator for PacVec at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Now, as part of the GSM undergraduate advising team, she is excited to work with students and help them navigate their college careers.

In her free time, Nguyen enjoys journaling, playing video games, drawing, photography, traveling and paddleboarding.
