Nikko Tanaka-Pendleton

Nikko Tanaka-Pendleton joined the Career Development Team in 2025. She comes from a career in executive recruiting, where she worked with companies to place top talent in manager to C-suite level roles. Her background in recruiting gives her insight into hiring managers' perspectives, what companies seek in candidates, job market trends, and the ins and outs of resumes, interviews, networking and business etiquette. She began her career working abroad in Turkey, Canada, South Korea and Spain and is excited to bring her international perspective to help students successfully navigate the job market.

Tanaka-Pendleton holds an MBA from Carlos III University and a BA from UC Davis — go Aggies!

In her free time, she loves to travel (next stop, Japan!), try new restaurants, hike, attempt to bake with somewhat mixed outcomes, and since moving to Davis, tend to her tomato plants.
