Introducing the UC Davis Flex MBA and Flex MM

Flexible graduate business education designed for professionals

The UC Davis Graduate School of Management has launched two new programs—the Flex MBA and Flex Master of Management (Flex MM)—giving professionals more ways to pursue a graduate management education while balancing their careers and personal commitments.

Both programs offer:

  • Two virtual evening classes every two weeks, averaging four hours each
  • Immersive, in-person learning every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for six quarters, including summer, at the Davis campus
  • Personalized learning and comprehensive academic, student and career support

Flex MBA and Flex MM students take core classes together at the Davis campus and online. Learning alongside peers with diverse experiences, perspectives and career goals creates an interdisciplinary environment that reflects the complexity of today’s business challenges.

Flex MBA

The Flex MBA brings together the strengths of the Sacramento and Bay Area Part-Time MBA programs in one flexible learning experience for working professionals.

Students in the 72-unit degree program typically take six to eight units per quarter, with courses ranging from one to four units. They may also pursue electives, summer courses and other learning opportunities in the Bay Area, Sacramento and Davis. Formats vary by term and may include evening, fully remote and hybrid options.

Flex Master of Management

The Flex MM provides a flexible path to earning a Master of Management degree from UC Davis. Students build a strong foundation in business and management while developing practical skills to advance their careers.

How to Apply

The Flex MBA and Flex MM replace the Sacramento and Bay Area part-time programs for new applicants. Those who previously explored or began an application to one of those programs are invited to apply to the corresponding Flex program.

Applications for the fall 2027 Flex MBA and Flex MM cohorts will open in late-September.

The Round 1 application deadline is November 1, 2026. Visit our calendar for a comprehensive list of deadlines.
