Vince Vengapally is currently the vice president of technology for the Oakland Athletics. He oversees technology initiatives for the ball club, spanning fan facing technology and business systems.
A major focus for the A’s is transitioning from a traditional on-premise enterprise software environment to a hybrid cloud environment.
Previously, Vengapally spent over a decade with the Google Cloud business unit with roles spanning from business analytics, business systems, and product management within Google’s GSuite team.
Vengapally holds a MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from UC Davis.
He will be teaching cloud computing courses in the Master of Science in Business Analytics program.
