MBA Residentials
In the program, you’ll take part in in-person residential experiences designed to deepen your learning, expand your network and connect you with classmates from all UC Davis MBA programs in a weekend-intensive format.
Residentials are held in Davis, the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, with additional learning and team-building experiences at nearby venues such as Napa Valley. During these experiences, you’ll collaborate with fellow MBA students on first-person case studies that bring real business challenges to life.
The case studies are designed to strengthen collaboration, broaden your business perspective and give you hands-on experience working through real-world scenarios.
Students pay a $375 course materials fee for each residential they attend.

Spotlight: AI & Business Innovation
Assistant Professor Jörn Boehnke leads a two-day intensive residential program, AI and Business Innovation. The key topics include core methods (regression, classification, clustering); interpreting outputs and limitations; data-driven decision making; and integrating AI into workflows.
"We cover practical aspects such as prompt design, model evaluation, and integrating AI outputs into structured logistic regression workflows. The main goal is to build intuition for how machine learning and AI systems work and how to use them in business settings."
