Academic assistance for MPAc students
Students Seeking a Tutor
If you are having difficulty with your coursework, your first step is to talk with your instructor. He or she can recommend additional resources, provide guidance on what additional work you can do, and possibly identify a tutor to help you master the course material.
If you need additional help, please contact MPAc Assistant Director Alex Minnis or Director of Student and Academic Services Inger Maher. They can help you find a tutor, a GSM student who has previously completed the course, and provide additional resources for your courses.
The Graduate School of Management recommends that you consider the content of courses coming up over the next couple of quarters. Planning ahead will help ensure you reach academic success.
It is important to reach out for assistance as early as possible to maximize your opportunity to strengthen your performance.
Students Interested in Acting as a Tutor
To be considered for a tutoring role, you must meet the following requirements.
- Must have already completed the course in question.
- Must have done well in the course: grades in the A to A+ range, unless otherwise endorsed by the professor.
Typical rates for tutoring range from $20-$25/hour, but you can negotiate the rate and tutoring sessions times with the student.
