AACSB "Innovations That Inspire": Business Schools Transforming Higher Education

Chief Diversity Officer Elizabeth Moon featured in video series on diversity, equity and inclusion

UC Davis GSM Chief Diversity Officer Elizabeth Moon shares her perspective on the intrinsic connection between diversity and innovation. Moon attended the AACSB's 2022 International Conference and Annual Meeting in New Orleans, where she presented our community's 21-Week Anti-Racism Challenge and was interviewed for AACSB's three-part video series.

In April 2022, the UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM) was recognized by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), through its annual program, Innovations That Inspire.

AACSB's Innovations That Inspire program shines a spotlight on the ways that business education is leading and innovating to create positive societal impact.

This year the program highlighted efforts by 24 business schools to elevate diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, or DEIB.

AACSB interviewed several leaders from the selected schools, including Elizabeth Moon, the UC Davis GSM's chief diversity officer and associate director of career development.

The three-part video series focuses on:

  • The Diversity-Innovation Link
  • Innovating for Inclusion
  • How Leaders Can Be Champions of Diversity

"Being a champion of diversity requires all of us to listen. To put our own biases that we bring to the table because everyone does, and take a moment, hear each person's voice, and what they have to share."

— Elizabeth Moon, UC Davis GSM's chief diversity officer and associate director of career development.
