Deciding to Grow – UC-Wide International Women’s Day Event 2026

UC Davis Women in Leadership & Allies (WiLA) is collaborating with UC Irvine, UC Riverside, and UC San Diego for a UC-wide International Women’s Day celebration themed “Deciding to Grow,” hosted by Merage Women in Business (WIB), UC Irvine.

This half-day event empowers graduate women and allies to reflect, reset and make intentional decisions toward personal and professional growth while fostering cross-campus connection and community. 

Agenda

Arrival, Lunch & Welcome (11:30 AM – 1:15 PM)
Check-in, lunch, opening remarks and an intention-setting reflection activity to ground participants in the day’s theme.

Featured Workshop & Keynote Address (1:15 PM – 3:15 PM)
An interactive growth-focused workshop followed by a keynote speech from an inspiring leader sharing insights on resilience, leadership and the decisions that shape our journeys.

Performance Interlude & Industry/Alumni Panel (3:15 PM – 4:30 PM)
A short performance experience followed by a moderated panel featuring industry professionals and alumni discussing career paths, challenges and defining growth moments.

Guided Networking, Happy Hour & Closing Activities (4:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
Structured networking, community-building activities and closing remarks designed to foster meaningful connections and send attendees off with clarity and inspiration.

This is a great opportunity to connect with students across UC campuses, expand your network and learn about new opportunities.

We are coordinating carpooling and logistics for interested students to make participation accessible.
