Diwali Celebration

The Associated Students of Management (ASM) invites all UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM) students, faculty, staff and their families to join in celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Lights.
This annual celebration brings the GSM community together to experience the warmth, joy and cultural vibrancy of Diwali through an evening of music, food and dance. The event fosters inclusivity, cultural appreciation and community bonding among MBA students and their families.
The evening will begin at 7 p.m. with a traditional lighting of diyas (lamps) ceremony, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Guests will then enjoy a three-course traditional Indian dinner featuring vegetarian and nonvegetarian options inspired by regional cuisines from across India. Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional Indian attire to add color and authenticity to the festive atmosphere.
The event is open to all GSM students and their families. Limited parking is available on-site at University Park Inn and in nearby public parking areas; early arrival is recommended. Join us for an unforgettable night of joy, togetherness and celebration—a perfect way to experience the rich traditions of India while connecting with the diverse GSM community.
