Donette Hylton-Lumbsden, RN, NP, is a distinguished healthcare leader whose thirty-year career reflects deep clinical expertise, compassionate service and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. With extensive experience as a nursing director, administrator, and advanced practice clinician, she brings a holistic perspective to healthcare leadership that balances operational excellence with human connection.

Currently, Hylton-Lumbsden serves as the nurse manager for a residential substance abuse rehabilitation facility, where she oversees critical medical care for women and children. In this role, she leads multidisciplinary teams, ensures high standards of clinical practice and advocates for some of the most medically and socially vulnerable populations. Her work emphasizes safety, dignity and long-term healing, demonstrating how strong nursing leadership can transform outcomes in complex care settings.

In addition to her leadership and clinical responsibilities, Hylton-Lumbsden is a dedicated educator with a minor in nursing education. She is deeply passionate about mentoring and developing the next generation of nurses and clinicians, sharing both technical knowledge and the values that sustain long and meaningful careers in healthcare. Her approach to mentorship reflects a belief in excellence, empathy and lifelong learning, qualities that resonate strongly with students and early-career professionals.
