With more than twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry, Shimika Brame brings a deeply informed and practical perspective on building resilient, compliant and forward-looking organizations. Her career spans critical functions including revenue cycle, infrastructure management, technology risk, IT compliance and IT resilience, providing a comprehensive view of how complex healthcare systems operate and adapt in high-stakes environments.

Beginning her career as a project analyst, Brame progressed steadily through the ranks to director level roles, gaining hands-on experience and leadership insight at every stage. This journey reflects a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. She holds a BA in legal studies from the University of California at Berkeley, earned while serving as manager of business operations in national IT compliance at Kaiser Permanente. Balancing academic rigor with executive responsibility underscores her ability to navigate complexity and deliver results.

Currently, Brame serves at Blue Shield of California as a principal, where she is building a technical resilience program focused on strengthening technology systems, managing risk and ensuring operational continuity. Her work highlights the growing importance of resilience, compliance and governance in an increasingly digital and regulated healthcare landscape.
