Full-Time MBA Virtual Coffee Chat: Student & Faculty Perspectives
- April 27, 2026 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Join us for a casual, interactive Virtual Coffee Chat with one of our Full-Time MBA Student Ambassadors - Dalena Huynh MBA 26. Plus a special guest!
We're excited to welcome Assistant Professor Xinlei Li to the conversation. A Columbia University Ph.D. with a background in economics and finance from China's prestigious Tsinghua University, Professor Li brings a truly global perspective to the GSM classroom. Her research—published in leading journals including The Accounting Review—explores how corporate transparency, accounting information, and lending relationships shape the cost of capital for businesses, including how companies can reduce financing costs by committing to environmental protection through loan contracts.
This is your chance to hear firsthand about the MBA experience, student life, academics, and career opportunities—directly from someone in the program and a rising faculty member whose work sits at the intersection of accounting, finance, and real-world business decisions.
Whether you're just starting to explore an MBA or are already preparing your application, this is the perfect opportunity to:
- Gain authentic insights into the Full-Time MBA student experience
- Hear directly from a world-class faculty member about the academic environment and what sets UC Davis GSM apart
- Ask candid questions about classes, recruiting, and campus culture
- Learn how the GSM curriculum connects accounting and financial analysis to the strategic decisions that drive business outcomes
This informal session is designed to be conversational, so bring your coffee (or tea!) and your questions. Space is limited to ensure an engaging discussion, so be sure to register early.
