Bay Area Curriculum Structure
A breakdown of our part-time MBA program

Learn from a top ranked program that focuses on real-world practice, analytical and technical skills, and leadership training you need to succeed.

Most classes will meet from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Fridays and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, with a one-hour meal break in the middle. The schedule for our one-unit courses, summer courses and some other courses will continue to vary. Classes are taught at the UC Davis Bay Area MBA campus at Bishop Ranch Business Park in San Ramon.

Fast Track Option: 2 years
A more intense commitment, Fast-Track students attend two classes alternating weekends (Friday 2 – 9 p.m. | Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and a third class on the opposite weekend.

Regular Track Option: 3 years
Offering more balance between school and your other commitments, Standard Track students attend two classes on alternating weekends (Friday 2 – 9 p.m. | Saturday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.). Most students complete the program in 2-3 years although students have up to four years to complete their studies.

Two-Year Curriculum and the Integrated Management Project Capstone Course
  • Students must complete all core courses prior to taking the Integrated Management Capstone Course.
  • For students accelerating through the program with the two-year curriculum, it is critical to follow the curriculum plan outlined and complete all core courses in the first year.
  • Students following the three-year curriculum should also follow the curriculum plan outlined.
  • Students will not be allowed to register for the capstone course unless they have completed their core prior to the quarter that the Integrated Management Capstone Course is offered for each campus, with San Ramon students completing the requirement in winter quarter and Sacramento students completing the requirement in spring quarter.
  • Failure to complete the core prior to the quarter in which your cohort is scheduled to take the Integrated Management Capstone Course may affect your ability to graduate on time. As such, please direct any questions regarding this issue to your program managers or the Director of Corporate Relations and IMPACT projects.
