This summer has been an adventure. I’m a Services Marketing Intern at Agilent Technologies in Santa Clara, California. I’ve learned a lot during my first couple of weeks- my coworkers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. (There’s even a GSM alum in the cube across from me!)
Last weekend, the GSM went on its first annual Super Happy Awesome Fun Times camping trip! Thirty aspiring MBAs embarked on an adventure at Cache Creek. (To clear up any confusion, we went to the actual creek, not the casino). Here’s a peek at our weekend o’ fun:
Last week, I talked about all the Picnic Day hype buzzing around campus. This week, I can tell you that Picnic Day 2012 did not disappoint.
To say that it was warm outside on the big day is a gross understatement. It was HOT. But the sunshine didn’t stop the masses from hitting up all the family-fun activities at UC Davis’ yearly open house.
Spring break at UC Davis is upon us, and for some it’s a time for
spray-on tans or traveling south for an MTV beach party. For 20
MBA students from the Graduate School of Management, it will be a
rare opportunity to meet one of the most sage business minds
today: Mr. Warren Buffett.
If you’ve spent any time at the GSM during the past few weeks,
you may have noticed that something was different. Not the
building, not the classes or the professors- but the students.
They’re are cautious and alert- some are flat-out scared. They
peek into a room before they enter. They scan the hallway before
they walk. They peer around the corner before they turn. Why?
They’re afraid of getting killed, of course.
