UC Davis Sacramento Part-Time MBA Program Moves to Aggie Square
"A big win for our university and the capital region"

The UC Davis Graduate School of Management announced today that it is moving its nationally ranked Sacramento Part-Time MBA program from leased space in the Education Building on UC Davis’ Sacramento campus to the nearby Aggie Square innovation district. The first classes will be held in the new facility this fall.
Aggie Square is a first-of-its-kind innovation district based in the state capital. Developed by Wexford Science & Technology in partnership with UC Davis, the life sciences and research complex brings together university affiliates, industry partners, entrepreneurs and the community to work side-by-side to accelerate ideas and bring them into the world. The first phase of the $1.1 billion project was celebrated at an open house in May.
“At the Graduate School of Management, we are excited that Aggie Square is now ready for business. Aggie Square is what UC Davis is all about—a dedicated group of people who work collaboratively,” said Dean H. Rao Unnava.
Innovation Powered by Collaboration
The Sacramento Part-Time MBA and Part-Time Master of Management are hybrid programs that combine virtual and in-person classes. Both will be moved to Aggie Square.
Students will have use of state-of-the-art classrooms, lounges and meeting space on the first floor of the eight-story, LEED-certified Gold 300 Aggie Square building. Students will take classes on Saturdays at Aggie Square and Graduate School of Management (GSM) staff will be on site Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays.

“By bringing our Sacramento Part-Time MBA and Master of Management students into a common space, it will unleash the power of collaboration,” Unnava said. “And it is through this collaboration that we live our values of sustainability, innovation and community building.”
A Model Private-Public Partnership
Aggie Square aims to drive economic development and growth in Northern California by bringing together university researchers, students and industry partners.
“Welcoming the future corporate and community leaders who enroll in the MBA program to Aggie Square is a big win for our university and for the capital region,” said Vice Provost for Academic Planning, Aggie Square John Marx.
“These students will be learning in the new regional hub for entrepreneurship in Sacramento. We hope they will find inspiration and are sure they will find new opportunities for collaboration here.”
Eddie Ramirez, a current Sacramento Part-Time MBA student and class president, said he’s thrilled that the GSM’s Sacramento Part-Time MBA program is moving to Aggie Square.
“The district’s innovative energy inspires collaboration, hands-on learning and real-world problem-solving—creating opportunities to accelerate ideas and strengthen our connection to the Sacramento community."
