I chose UC Davis because it is my alma mater and I really wanted to return. Also, the opportunities to learn from so many knowledgeable and well-connected professors and professionals was something I could not pass up. Finally, I wanted to be a part of a tight-knit MBA community, which GSM provided.

Tanmay Kallakuri MSBA 26

Four years in cybersecurity taught me something annoying. People kept making calls on gut when the data was sitting right there. I wanted to learn how to actually use it. UC Davis was the program where the curriculum matched what I was after.

Machine learning sits next to causal inference. Statistics asks why, not just whether. Spark and distributed processing come up early because that is how data actually moves at companies. I came here to get sharper, and the faculty here are why I think that is going to happen.
