The MSBA program strikes a great balance between enhancing the technical skills and cultivating the critical thinking need to interpret and make decisions! All while placing us in real life situations to apply what we learn.
I was introduced to the UC business grad school system through the Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders (SIEML), a leadership program dedicated to building a strong pipeline for HSI and HBCU students for business grad school. Out of all the UCs I chose Davis because of its accolades, its one-year duration that gave me the flexibility to still work, and the amazing staff and alumni I met before applying.
I chose the UC Davis MSBA program for the people and the location. Being at the center of AI innovation surrounded by a program that wants to see you do well is a recipe for success in a program like this.

I decided to choose the UC Davis MSBA program to break into the world of product management by enrolling in a master's degree that builds on my bachelor's degree in data analytics and takes place at the heart of technological innovation—San Francisco.
My journey into business analytics began with a childhood love for numbers, sparked by dusty math puzzle books I found at my grandma’s place. I chose the MSBA program at UC Davis because it offers a perfect blend of essential business courses and hands-on experience through the Practicum Project, allowing me to tackle real-world challenges. As a product manager, I’m eager to deepen my data skills and leverage insights for impactful product decisions.
The UC Davis MSBA program's great location in San Francisco was a major factor in my decision—I’ve always wanted to live in California and experience life in a big city. Additionally, I chose the program because of the strong job opportunities; I’ve heard many positive things about UC Davis MSBA students successfully landing jobs after graduation.
