Changing or adding the business major (starting Fall 2027)
Due to high demand and limited capacity, the UC Davis business major is capped at 50 changes of major per year. Beginning in 2027, eligible students who wish to change to or add the business major must apply through lottery. This process ensures equitable access while maintaining academic standards.

Minor Advising
(Note: the Business Minor was formerly the Technology Management Minor)
Students graduating prior to Fall 2026 will complete the Technology Management Minor. Beginning Fall 2026, the program name will change to Business Minor.
Students with questions about how this change applies to their graduation timeline should contact the academic advisor for the minor programs for individualized guidance.
