I grew up in Davis and never thought I would attend UC Davis. But when I started researching graduate schools, I loved that the GSM offered a small, close-knit community in my hometown. As I've grown older, I've learned to appreciate more the town, way of life here, and the incredible amount of food and agriculture industry that we have in the area.
Event Specialist
Porsché Green joined GSM in 2023 as part of the event team. She supports the planning and implementation of programs, conferences and other school-wide events benefiting the Graduate School of Management and its community. When she is not providing event support at GSM, she will support the UC Davis Library Communications and Marketing team in event planning.

I choose to attend UC Davis as an undergraduate because I was following the steps of my older brother. Once I began my own journey, I fell more in love with the Davis campus and people with each passing minute. I have acquired so many fond memories from my time at UC Davis so it was an easy choice when deciding where I wanted to complete my MBA at.
UC Davis offers an amazing opportunity to pursue an MBA degree that incorporates the scientific focus that I was looking for in a program. The location of Davis in an agricultural hub for the United States is a unique experience that students get, combined with an amazing atmosphere brought by the people who choose to come here. The culture of the GSM is unbeatable and I am so lucky to be able to experience California for the first time by coming to Davis.

UC Davis researchers, including GSM Senior Scholar Harold Schmitz, are providing more insight into how grape skins and seeds, which usually go to waste during the making of chardonnay wine, may be a valuable and healthful ingredient in new food products—including chocolate.
