Creating an engaging user experience using data
Student Analysts work closely with the executive and academic directors to create an engaging experience for current and future MSBA students. They leverage data to work on initiatives related to the student experience, program outreach, market intelligence and analytics. Some student analysts are awarded at the time of admission, but all students will be able to apply for a position once enrolled.

UC Davis Master of Science in Business Analytics practicum projects create a powerful learning experience by bringing company partners together with MSBA student teams and globally ranked faculty advisors to solve real-world projects. During the one-year course, you will work as part of a team to solve complex data analytics problems and then present your recommendations to the client company.

The UC Davis STEM-designated Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program offers two distinct options to fit your goals and timeline: a one-year, 44-unit Comprehensive Exam Plan or a 17-month, 50-unit Thesis Plan. Both are STEM-designated and packed with real-world impact.
Whichever path you choose, you’ll work in small teams and partner with top-ranked faculty to solve real business problems using real industry data. You'll graduate with the technical rigor and strategic insight to lead in today’s data-driven world.
All candidates are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships based on their admissions application. Criteria includes academic record, professional promise, and focus. You will be notified in your offer letter if you have been selected for a GSM scholarship.
