Women Leaders in CA Businesses
Hi! Long time, no blog! I must admit, the posting on the blog is slow this summer, so please accept my apologies about that! However, I thought this would be the case — it’s summertime! Half of the regular posters have now graduated, and the other half are super busy with internships. And then there’s me. I’m one of those busy with an internship, but also very busy with the California Women Business Leaders study.
First Week of My Internship: Done! 11 More to Go…
Whew! I just finished the first week of my internship at Agilent Technologies. What a great experience so far. Before coming to school, I worked for a small commercial real estate investment firm with 12 employees. Now I am interning at a multi-national, publicly traded company with thousands of employees across the world. What a difference a year makes.

Expectations
Prior to coming back to school, I had a lot of expectations. I purchased a new suit, dress shirts, ties and dress shoes. I subscribed to the Wall Street Journal, watched MSNBC and brushed up on my current business events. I wanted to be the picture of professionalism, but my expectations were way off.
WiL Power at Race for the Cure
For the second year, Women in Leadership (WiL) has coordinated a team of UC Davis MBAer’s to run/walk/donate to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event in Sacramento.
