Where business theory meets real-world impact
Integrated Management Project + Articulation and Critical Thinking (IMPACT) brings your UC Davis MBA to life.
In this 10-week capstone, you'll team up to solve real business problems for companies, startups, nonprofits or UC partners. Guided by faculty advisors with industry experience, you’ll deliver actionable solutions backed by research and analysis.
Along the way, you’ll sharpen skills across core business areas—from finance and marketing to analytics and strategy—with a focus on ethics, sustainability and global thinking.
Each year the UC Davis Graduate School of Management invites a prominent executive to teach a quarter-long MBA course that reflects their management expertise. The Robert A. Fox Executive-in-Residence Program gives students and faculty a unique opportunity to work closely with a top business leader.
In addition to class lectures, the Executive-in-Residence invites other high-level executives to guest lecture in his or her class, and meet with students and the GSM community informally.
"The UC Davis MSBA offers a balanced curriculum focusing on both the technical and business sides of analytics, with industry experience through practicum project. The exceptional faculty and administrative team are invested in learning and career development of students.”
"I chose the UC Davis MPAc program because I knew it would prepare me well for my career in public accounting, which it did. However, the best part about the program is the people. I met an amazing group of professors, students, and administration professionals that I still consider to be close friends."
We invite you to learn more about our Integrated Management (IMP) strategic projects for sponsor companies and organizations. This searchable database features summaries of quarter-long projects completed by MBA student teams over the past several years. Search by company name or alphabetically.
Day trading has been a point of contention for years. Professor Brad Barber of UC Davis finished up a 14-year day trading study in 2010, and concluding that a mere one percent of people within the study profited from their efforts.
